AMERICAN NIGHTMARE

American Nightmare are one of the most important and influential hardcore/punk bands of the last two decades. The band’s volatile mix of traditional American hardcore, dark aesthetics, and singer Wesley Eisold’s emotional lyrical prose set a new creative standard for the worldwide hardcore community. Their sphere of influence is far reaching, serving as the bellwether to the giants of punk, metal/ hardcore, and even mainstream music.

American Nightmare began in 2000 as a band that defied styles, trends, and even names. After releasing several EPs and two LP's, the band split in 2004 before reforming in 2011. American Nightmare redefined the hardcore scene musically, visually, and most of all, lyrically. They released an acclaimed self- titled album in 2018, the “Life Support” single in 2020 and a new EP is planned for 2023 along with their first albums being reissued.

Throughout the years they’ve expanded upon their brand of dark hardcore paying homage to groups who have always influenced the band ranging from Negative Approach, SSD and Cro-Mags, to Joy Division, Siouxsie And The Banshees and Bauhaus. Wesley Eisold, Brian Masek, Josh Holden, Alex Garcia- Rivera and Jim Carroll, together as American Nightmare, have risen from the ashes and launched a second life of lauded shows and records proving that there is life after youth.
